  • The August edition of Lowcountry Monthly magazine features a two-page spread highlighting the achievements of the Lowcountry Economic Network & giving particular focus on the Lowcountry Economic Alliance. 

  • The Network's Executive Director discusses the tremendous advantages of having a workforce of highly-trained military personnel available available to the Beaufort County and Lowcountry region

  • Hot on the heels of their grand opening festivities, CareCore National and their new location in the Town of Bluffton’s Buckwalter Place were featured in a full-page spread in Forbes magazine.

  • This spring, Seacoast Documents in conjunction with TST Enterprises, a leading document storage company, purchased land at the Beaufort Commerce Park where they plan to build a new state-of-the-art document storage facility.

  • The Savannah Business Report & Journal Lowcountry News section published an article in which Kim Statler of the Lowcountry Economic Network says Beaufort County has always been environmentally sensitive, long before 'going green' was in vogue and talked about developing GREEN incentive packages. 

  • The Lowcountry Economic Network's Kim Statler describes the purpose and vision of the new Lowcountry Economic Alliance - the formal alliance between Beaufort & Jasper Counties - in the May Lowcountry News section of the Savannah Business Report & Journal.

  • Southern Business & Development features the Beaufort Commerce Park as a ‘Preferred Southern Site’ on their web site.

  • Beaufort and Bluffton are also recognized by Southern Business & Development Winter 2008 Ten Top 10s Edition as one the ‘Top Ten Great Small Towns to Operate a Business and to Retire’.

Awards

  • Member company CareCore National was also honored with the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Annual CIVITAS Award for Regional Economic Impact. And member company Tanger Outlets was recognized with the Community Stewardship award.

  • At the same CIVITAS Award ceremony, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Executive Director Kim Statler was recognized with the Lowcountry Young Professional Award, and the Lowcountry Economic Network was nominated in the Outstanding Non-Profit category.

  • Leading local developer, Dick Stewart of member company 303 Associates was honored by the SC Department of Commerce with one of the South Carolina Homegrown Champions awards. The Homegrown Champion award recognizes individuals who have returned to their hometown and have made a positive impact in their community.

  • In May, Dean Moss, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Chairman, and General Manager of member organization Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority received the SC Economic Development Association (SCEDA) Volunteer of the Year award. The award is based on personal time and effort expended by the recipient in attracting or locating new business to a region as well as projects of significant economic impact.
